Walasi-Yi is obvious, at Neels Gap. I forget the name of the outfitter in 
downtown Hot Springs, NC. Waynesville, VA has an outfitter or two. An "easy 
hitch" could get one from Springer to Atlanta for numerous shops. NYC even 
has a place of dozen.

Where was your friend hitching from?
