Think carefully about dehydrating apples this time of year. My supermarket is selling fresh apples for a buck a pound. Farm stands a few months ago were selling them for 20 cents a pound. I suspect commercially dried apples are as cheap or cheaper than what you can do yourself at winter apple prices. Try a few and compare price and quality with what may be commercially available. Weary
