Squealing for Safety was RE: [at-l] Games!



Actually making "odd" sounds is a good "security" measure.  I've acted crazy
-- it ain't a far trip -- and it's helped.  And a lady I know works in the
theater in NYC.  If she's out real late, or going in a chancy area, she will
carry extra clothes.  Her "costume" consists of dirty, nasty, raggedy
looking clothes & a ratty matted looking wig.  When she goes out, she wears
the costume and changes at or near where she's going.  Then she reverses the
procedure for her trip home.  She said what brings it off is her talking to
herself and shaking her head.  

Of course you don't want to look so out-of-it that you make a tempting
target.  Just squeal and look like a hungry thru' hiker.
