[at-l] PA RUCK

My apologies for leaving before the big clean up, but my night vision is such
that I'm a danger to other motorists -- unless they are driving SUVs -- and in
that case I'm a danger to myself, since my Plymouth van won't stand up to their
assault.

I left shortly after 7 a.m. Only two other people seemed to be up. I arrived
home at 5:30. If you want to see how dark it was when I arrived open the

Many thanks for all the generous contributions to the Maine Rose fund.

I found the RUCK a very pleasant winter interlude. It was nice to attach faces
to email messages. I now know, for instance, why Sloetoe feels comfortable
planning 20 mile days with two young kids. As Kahley had assured me, Jim is a
most pleasant person in person. I had only one disappointment. I had planned to
ask Ginny if she honestly and truly never read my postings, as alleged. But the
opportunity never seemed to arise.
