My husband ate a raw one once, in a New Orleans
restaurant.  They were bringing them in to cook them
and one jumped out of the pot.  A waiter put it on a
diner's table and the guy and his date were disgusted
and told him to put it "over there", which was
Yakpack's table.  He was 18 or so, thought the other
guy was silly - so he picked it up and ate it.

The waiters gave him a paper chef hat on which they'd
written something about escaping from the local asylum
(after, of course, they asked how it tasted, and
whether it should be on the menu etc.).
