In some fairly wild places I've eaten some fairly wild things - including
wolf kills when they were finished and I was hungry.

Another aspect is that after awhile, this is normal.  The other day I found
some rice in the back of the cabinet, and it had a few weevils in it.  Since
there was no other rice, I cooked it up and served it for my wife and I.
She said, what are these specks in the rice?  I said, "Just a few weevils."
She was horror struck.  I had a nice dinner and she had a sandwich...
