We were also very upset about the readings that Warren read at the
Gathering.  It was evident that he is a deeply disturbed individual.  I
actually thought that Baltimore Jack's comments were very appropriate.  I
did speak later with two people who actually left the Gathering after the
comments, and many others who considered leaving.  I was one of the folks
who walked out of the room, feeling too angry to stay.  I do not get angry
very easily, but am very patriotic and this really hurt.

We had actually talked about not attending the Gathering as it was so close
to the sad events, but decided to go and be with friends.  My husband (Dutch
Treat) had been asked to sing a patriotic song at the start of the Opening
Ceremony and he did open the ceremony with a patriotic tribute.  He received
a huge applause and it felt like an appropriate beginning.  Then....Warren.
I just do not understand why this was allowed.  We, along with some other
friends, did speak to some board members about this incident.

What CAN we do to prevent another such performance??
