Yes. And you can get great MLM salesfolks to tell you why it tastes bad
or is unhealthy for you. The NYC water frequently wins taste tests
including bottled water. A municipal water supply will mail out
chemical analysis reports periodically to alert you of the amount of
non-H2O stuff in the supply. So far, we have only seen problems related
to inadequate purification - such as crypto - in municipal supplies in
the US. 

Since the average age of Americans has been increasing associated with
such public health improvements, I thing I wouldn't be too worried.

I am a cheap skate and refill my Spring Water (R) bottles from the tap
all of the time.
