[at-l] Cup keeps yucky odors

I eat out of the pot and drink hot liquids from a REI thermal type cup.
Keeps the tea very hot for quite a while.  I have drank various flavors and
nothing seems to have permeated the cup.. pwd soups, clear soups, cocoa,
coffee, tea etc.

water based drinks - flavored stuff in a gatorade plastic bottle; plain
water only always in the nalgene.  refill the gatorade from the nalgene,
gatorade @ the waist to drink from, nalgene in the pack.  when the gatorade
starts to smell or taste like something, toss it and get something new.

the cup is only used in camp, handle makes it easy to attach w/ a tiny
caribiner to the outside of the pack, keep the lid in the food bag.  I like
to have a hot soup while my main dinner is cooking, I heat water, pour some
out into the cup for soup and add dinner to the remaining water.  drink soup
while dinner steams.

For eating/drinking.. 
I use a big plastic campbell soup cup that I got at
the grocery store.  The only problem is.. it retains
odors.  If you cook ramen in it. (Which I generally
have every day for lunch).. Then everything tastes
like ramen for days.

What does everybody else use?
Do you just (oh my god) ... eat out of the pot?

I can't drink tea straight out of the pot..
