When I drove down in October for my infamous aborted section hike of Georgia, I went I-81 south to I-77 South to I-40 West to US 19 South to GA 5 or 2 (can't remember which runs into it south of Murphy NC) to GA 52 to the park. Pretty easy run. Black&blue
