[at-l] Gold Rush {was long-term parking near Springer?}



There was also a private mint in Rutherford County, NC north of the
county seat (smack between Charlotte and Asheville). I believe this was
the only private mint ever allowed in the country to mint currency.
Much of the gold came from Golden Valley in the north part of the
county. Now that valley exports gold in the form of liquid corn
squeezin's.
