[at-l] Snow bound?

Jan. 02 was "suppose" to be my first week back from Christmas vacation (I
spent most of it with a BAD tooth).  But it started snowing and they
"flushed" us out and I have not been near an Internet Computer 'til today.  

I talked to a non-hiker and they asked what would I have done on the AT if
it had snowed.  I gave them some "bare" facts -- including the tale about
two "clothing challenged" people sharing a sleeping bag -- but I began
wondering if anyone was stuck on the trail during the snow storm that hit
Ga, SC, NC, and I presume Tenn.  Does anyone know of anybody?  And, what
would y'all recommend if a storm hit?
