[at-l] Cold Questions

This is more of a cold story than an answer to any questions.

One of my [many] jobs that I had while I worked my way through college was
as an electrician's helper.  My first day on the job was Dec 26, 1979 and as
it turned out, was the coldest day of the year where I lived.  I was totally
unprepared and knew I was in trouble when I picked up a piece of pipe and my
hand stuck to it.  Arrghh!  For the next few weeks I froze.  I couldn't wear
enough clothes.  After a while though the cold became less of a problem and
by February I was in a t-shirt if the temps went above freezing.  I remember
being very amazed at how I and the rest of the construction crew adapted to
the cold (and heat the following summer).
