[at-l] Taking care of business

If your life is anything like mine, it ain't over -- just cut back.

Marriages? Daughters? Oh boy! Even a son can throw a cost, or two, your
way. How about a marriage in England, w/ you as the best man -- because
his friends back on this side of the big pond are just getting started on
their career and can't afford the trip.

Then there are the grandkids. Wow! Of course, two of mine kids married
into ready made families -- two and four step-grands, respectively, which we
love. Christmas presents!!! I swear my wife is spending more now on their
toys and clothing than we did on our kids -- not just at Christmas,
birthdays, etc. Any excuse will do. Hoz'bout, "Lets take the kids with us
on vacation?"

OTOH we don't have the food, medical, etc bills and can always get a good
night sleeps, when they go home.

Don't get me wrong. I love it. And it is better than putting two through
out-of-state colleges. But the "Fat Lady Ain't Sung Yet" in my household.
