I think I got my first Golite in 99 and used this pack the following spring 
on the Allegheny Trail. It delaminated on the inside and tore apart at 
several seams. I liked the pack despite the fact it was falling apart as I 
walked along. Golite made good on their product and gave me another pack. The 
stitching and webbing was improved. It's my favorite pack, and I used this 
pack on TT and the LT.

I never considered the G-4, although I did try on a Kurt Russell prototype of 
the G-4 at the 2000 PA Ruck and found it was too long for my torso.
