[at-l] Loss of the AT thru-hiking "mystique"



Which brings to mind the scene in the grocery store whenever they are
calling for snow -- tons of folk complaining about the crowd w/o ever
focusing on the fact that they are the crowd.

For some time now, the ATC has been suggesting alternatives ways to hike the
AT in a season w/o being part of the crowd.  See
