[at-l] Hiking foods for low blood sugar, wheat sensitives (long)
What an excellent post. Even if it pertains to only a small percentage of
people on the list, it was well worth the time and effort you put into it.
If Mom were still alive, she might have written something similar based on
her special dietary needs after her first bout with cancer. It certainly was
a huge concern when we were planning our thru.
We attended a seminar at The Gathering in '98 by Amazon '97. It was all
about food, the immense weight loss/muscle loss guys experience, and the way
it affected women as well, and how to prevent it. It's great to have so many
people with so many different perspectives on the whole issue on this list.
I'd say we have a fair representation of people who have to think about their
diet for one reason or another more than most. I think the greatest thing
about it is that facing a challenge like you did didn't stop you from hiking
- it encouraged you to fix it so you *could* hike. And it's benefits in the
rest of your life are obvious. Congrats for overcoming so much - and for
sharing it with us!
