I'm way behind on mail so this may have been said already. Even easier than
ghee is olive oil. It holds up well and adds taste and calories to many items.

More expensive, but a whole lot easier, is the precooked bacon to be found
now in most grocery stores. I've used this a lot and really like it. It's
ready to eat and can be used in many ways. I like it crumbled in oatmeal,
added to potatoes or other foods, or eaten on its own.
