[at-l] Animals on the trail
That would be a rhino.
Asian one-horned rhino, to be exact.
My sister and I journeyed to Chitwan National Park in Nepal two years ago,
where we went on a "jungle walk." The leader of the walk wasn't too happy to
be there, and there were only five of us with him. He warned us "when a rhino
charges...climb a tree." My response: "When?"
Anyway, he did get us within sight of a large rhino browsing in the tall
savanna grasses; my heart about stopped.
I don't think I'll be topping that one on any of my North American hikes.
Cheers, Navigator
