Many's the time I wished I had my horse with me. Especially on those
long uphills. My dressage horse is an adept trail horse too. :)

He's elderly now, so our "dressage" consists of a quick
bareback ride a few times a year.

I'm manager of a coop. We all take turns feeding, usually three times a
week. There are enough of us that if one of us needs a month off for
some reason, it's not a big strain on the others. So I'll go full
board for one month, ask a friend to keep an eye on the ponies, and
skedaddle knowing they'll be okay. It's a good deal.

My ex is going to stay at my house while I'm gone, taking care of the
other four-legs and mailing me supplies as needed.
