I carried a 'Z-Rest Seat' product for my entire
thru-hike (made by, you guessed it, the Z-Rest
people). Worked out great, folds up like a tiny Z-Rest
(I carried it under the compression strap on the side
of my backpack so I could just pull it out easily
without having to reach inside my backpack).

Someplace just south of Roanoke, Virginia the
suspension system in my backpack failed and I cut part
of the Z-Rest Seat off and used that with Duct Tape to
keep the stays in my backpack from poking me in the
back until I could get my backpack repaired.

There you go...that dual use thing again. Now...how
can I work panties, duct tape and a bota bag into
this...

Datto

PS: It was in Roanoke, Virginia where Karen Sousa was
awarded the Mountainsmith Dealer Of The Year award.
