I don't know if anyone has informed the AT-L of the newly arrived commissioned painting of WalasiYi (Mountain Crossings) at Neel Gap.

Local artist, Jessie Collins, has captured the look and feel of a hiker as he hikes through the covered walkway and the expanse of the rock building, steps and porch light. The only thing he left out was the garbage bin and the port-o-letts. (grin)

The painting is on display at Mountain Crossings Outfitter. The prints are limited to 500, signed and numbered. The first 100 are "artists ???" which will have additional color added by the artist before signing and numbering. I got #57 and a friend her got #58. There may be 40 (or less) of the first 100 left as you read this.

Cost for the print is $85. Postage extra.

I am available to bring some up to Damascus after the first of the year, weather permitting, so if that will help anyone who doesn't want to trust the print to the USPS, UPS, or FedEx, please email me off line at coosa@fox21.net.

You can order by contacting Winton Porter at 706-745-6095. I told him that a lot of Thru Hikers would be calling him for a print once they heard about it.

And as usual, I receive nothing from the sales but the satisfaction that I've shared this information with a few of my friends.

Later,
Coosa
