I'm sure you've thought of it, but why not just build an outdoor privy?
There are several books written on construction, venting, ect., and it keeps
the nostalgia thing alive. I have a buddy who's crapper is the envy of anyone
who is lucky enough to spread their cheeks within its confines. The guy is an
artist, and various accouterments adorn this throne. It contains original
artwork, weavings and wall hangings, incense burners, and written meditations -
no Sports Illustrated or Good Housekeeping allowed. There is absolutely no
odor - the thing is ingeniously vented, although it may also have something to
do with its close proximity to the celtic stone circle and its mystical
properties. It also gets used year-round, right through these long northern
winters.
Just a thought.
