 The current National Geographic has a great map of Afganistan. If it wasn't 
for all the land mines, I bet the hiking would be great!
 FWIW, a talking head on CNN was saying that American troops there would need 
bottled oxygen in mountains over 10,000 feet, because they'd pass out without 
it. "That's one of the avantages the natives have", said he.
 Bottled oxygen? "Natives"? good lord...
