I hate comments like this.

Why must we assume every one is greedy and only looking out for one self.??

in my opinion, it would have a positive effect for everyone in this country
to get that oil.   By reducing our nation's dependency on foreign oil we can
stabilize & lower the price of fuel.  When energy and transportation costs
are lowered,  the price of everything will lower.  If the prices go down,
people have more discretionary money.  the economy improves; everyone
wins!!!

And besides, what's the problem with the people who own the oil, ie the
Alaskan citizens, making a little money off of it?  I can never understand
why some people have an objection to others making money?????
