[at-l] Remaing Old Growth in Maine, WV, East

Another interesting fact is that there are more deer,
and trees in Pennsylvania now than there were a hundred years
ago. Although cutting close to a trail (YUCK) is a maintainers nightmare
because of the surge in undergrowth, deer and bear thrive in the
new brouse and berries.

Logging is an ugly business .....really messes up the appearance
of the area but it sure does seem to be beneficial to the fauna if some
basic care goes into the planning.
