October 25, 2001 - Brian has 48 miles to go! 
He has hiked 7,323 miles in 297 days.

On the AT:  2,120 of 2,168 miles.
       CDT:    ALL of 2,558 miles.
       PCT:    ALL of 2,645 miles.

   From the Oct. 25 San Jose Mercury News: 
Brian has 48 miles remaining as of Wednesday
night.  

Journal Entry:  "Only a few leaves are left on the
trees in the Maine woods, which are carpeted
with the orange and red of fallen leaves. 
Despite only 11 hours of daylight, Robinson
logged 30 miles in balmy weather.  "I just
wanted to walk and walk and walk," he said.
