[at-l] colors report

Last week I was out an noticed many oaks were turning well before normal.
Wondered out loud what was going on.  The USFS tech who was with me did,
also.

BTW -- We were in the midst of a spectacular fall.  Then Sunday we had high
winds w/ rain and today lots of wind.  Leaves coming down to the point of
being a traffic hazard.
