[at-l] Walking & Seeing

i would suggest trying to walk quieter. and not scare away the wild wildlife
if you want to see it. i also find if i get into the "groove" of hiking i
dont need to look down as much and my pace improves. also if you have the
old style "beefy" boots you can be slightly more careless as to were you put
your feet.

last time i noticed something cool, i triped. i was doign something stupid
running in a small stream in that nebulous time period after you take off
your pack and you feel MUCH lighter then natural and you feel you can JUMP
to the moon. i was running and acting crazy(which is normally ok but i
caught glimpse of a really cool salmander and never slowed down) and split
open my knee on a rock as my WET boot slipped on a mossy rock. a good side
note to the story i did get a wicked cool scar on my knee which is pretty
deep and gross looking even after a few months(it is healed just scarish)

so in other words... maybe you can see more things by being more careless.
and jsut let stuff happen. this said i dont want to hear any whinning from
people that hurt them self tryign this method. it is a method fraught with
stupidity and pain and i dont do it on purpose or i dont try to.

as for seeing things in general jsut stop and look aroudn ever once in a
while. and remember "it is not a death march it is a fun hike, so take time
to enjoy it"
