[at-l] Walking and Seeing

Try:

"So the observer, the observed phenomenon, and the process of
observation form an inseparable totality. From that perspective,
reality isn't simply received, it's actively captured and rendered in
different ways by different observers with different ways of seeing. "

This might be in the area that was referred to.

On a personal note: When I read this I was reminded of a
non-drug-induced experience I had in NH's White Mountains. A
summertime walk to a waterfall, the desire to climb high on the slick
rocks, I found myself holding onto branches near where the
water/spray was falling over an edge. A mosquito was sucking blood
from my arm, close to my face (as my arms were up).

I was an observer, I could watch the mosquito as it sucked. But I was
also thriving by holding onto the branches, hoping to derive
something, somehow from the waterfall. In a flash I saw myself as a
mosquito-like organism on this earth, and in another flash a provider
of nutrients for the mosquito, completing some sort of closed-loop
cycle. I was observer -and- phenomenon at the same time. It was an
unforgettable experience and one that still draws me to the woods
about 20 years later.
