[at-l] Springer overnighter report

Hey everybody,

My wife and I spent Saturday night up on Springer. We have come to the =
conculsion that we REALLY don't like the approach trail from Amicalola =
Falls. In spite of this, the hike up was beautiful and we saw a good =
many day hikers. The sunset on the summit of Springer was breathtaking, =
and it got down to 40F Sunday morning. I need a new sleeping bag that's =
warmer. Anyway there was a through hiker that was finishing Sunday. Saw =
his parents going up to meet him. Gotta be a lifechanging experience to =
take those last few steps. Anyway, took the "Hike Inn" trail back (which =
was longer) and got back to the car around 3:30pm Sunday. Spent Sunday =
night chasing Motrin with whiskey sour's. I have nothing but respect for =
people that carry 40+ lb packs day in and day out. Overall a very nice =
trip, can't wait to get back out again.=20
