[at-l] cooking gear or gas vs. fluid
Ah, JPF,
My Dragonfly is a liquid multifuel stove (white gas, auto gas and I believe
kerosene, not sure about the kerosene, no intention of ever using kerosene
even if it can) , not a butane/propane stove. It also weighs 17 oz without
a fuel tank and fuel. I have made and used several of the alcohol soda can
(just can't seem to bring myself to say the P word ;-) ) stoves. They are
incredibly light and work remarkably well, (with a hardware cloth pot
support and the windscreen from my dragonfly) . Cheap too! Twenty cents,
(10¢ deposit on two cans) for the cans and about a nickels worth of
aluminum vent tape.
Just my 25¢ worth, Pat Loomis

>Here's the rub; I am torn between a light butane/propane stove (MSR pocket
rocket or dragonfly) OR a liquid fuel stove (MSR whisperlight
Internationale).
