Hello Everyone,

Last June I was section hiking the AT and had a bad 
thunderstorm catch up with me. No shelters were nearby. 
I covered my pack and put it down about 20ft from the 
log I decided to sit down on. I covered up with a tarp 
and waited for the storm to pass. I usually keep hiking 
while it rains but this was not your usual thunderstorm -
 it was BAD. What's the safest thing to do in this 
situation ?
