Saw it on Discovery Channel.
A second interesting thing was the fact that lightning doesn't even have
to hit you to kill you. A golf group took refuge under a tree while one
stayed to finish his put. The tree was struck, hitting the three underneath
while the 4th was heading towards them. The three lived, but the man who was
away from the tree ended up dying from heart failure.
It turned out the human heart is vulnerable to electromagnetic shock
during a part of its beating cycle. If a large electromagnetic shock wave
hits it at this phase it will stop.
