[at-l] shower anyone?

 The meteor showers were better than usual this year at Baxter, but couldn't 
compare with last summer's. In 2000, the Northern Lights coincided with the 
Perseids, a fantastical spectacle! The streams of meteor trails were extra 
long and lingering, and bizzarly colored. I know the physics, but that's how 
it seemed! One of last year's thruhikers finished his hike with a night climb 
of Katahdin beneath a horizon to horizon Aurora and a shower of stars. What a 
way to finish! :O)
