Re[4]: [at-l] Failing the List requirements

"I'm working hard not to respond
emotionally to your phrase "congenial chat.""

I'm not in anyway putting down congenial chatting. I enjoy it immensely. That's one reason I
backpack, summer and winter, and have for years. If truth be told, the only time people really
seem to listen to me is in the woods, away from civilization. I wonder why that is. Perhaps our
resident psychiatrist can explain.

However, that may be one reason why I favor a wild as possible trail. It seems, there is nothing like shared primitive
conditions to spur congenial chatting. Good chatting occurs most often in my experience when the
trappings of civilization are removed.

However, I'm not opposed to it on the internet. But when the chatting occurs on a site that deals with
controversial matters like national trails, the chatterers should expect an occasional interruption.
