[at-l] Observations on the sexual threat thread

I'm curious. Do long-term romances ever blossom on the trail? Anybody ever
get married after meeting during an AT hike?

Depends on what you define as "the prize." If you mean a transient
sexual encounter without emotional value, that is a prize I am willing
to allow someone else to win. If you mean a longterm relationship that
survives the roller coaster of life, with changes of the relationship
from lust to passion to comfortable knowledge (in the Biblical way),
then persistence yields a very subtle prize that many might not savor.
