I am new to this listserv and am still finding my way around.  However, I'd 
like to venture a comment on the "too much whining" topic.

I'm disappointed in some of the exchanges.  Several years ago I watched a 
very good computer club listserv ruined by personal attacks similar to the 
ones I've observed here.

I think it's very appropriate to raise controversial topics.  However, 
what's significant is how it's done.  Common courtesy goes a long 
way.  "Trail rage" should not be part of a serious discussion.  Personal 
insults and attacks sidetrack the discussion of the issue.
