[at-l] Ready's Journal: June 27 Tuesday TD 22 Pt 2

John and Lois insisted that we spend the night at their home;
Earl was eager to meet up with Spur the following day.
He informed Spur that he'd be there in an hour and we
should be ready to go. Who could refuse such a kind offer?!
Spur showered and we returned to the bar/dining area for supper.
The grill had closed only 4 minutes earlier, but they'd be happy to
prepare us some Buffalo wing burgers. They were delicious, and
served up with cold draft beers and a complementary humongous
serving of fries. Life certainly was good.
The smoky bar was filled with local "regulars" who displayed great
cusiosity about us. They had apparently heard all about our
"honeymoon" tale, and they were clearly fascinated.
It was wonderful to be there in their midst.
Lois and John arrived as planned and wisked us off.
We chatted in the van during the nearly 1-hour journey back
to York, the time passing swiftly. We chatted some more once
we got to their home, Lois and John eager to share information
about their family, growing up in this area, their many community
projects, as well as about Earl, his hikes, and his book project -
and we were eager to hear about all of it.
It was late when we finally got to bed. There was no journalling
this night - we were asleep moments after our heads hit the pillows.
