[at-l] Andrew Thompson

Andrew Thompson was on the A.T. trying to break Pete Palmer's speed
record. Sunday night around 7 pm he started the A.T. across the
Presidential Range inNew Hampshire. A big storm front moved in dropping
the temperature to 24 degrees overnight with winds over 80 miles per
hour. They tented it for a while and then made it to the Lake Of the
Clouds Hut. They were trapped there until later Monday. They finally
made it out of the 25 or so miles of the Presidential Range at 2:30 a.m
Tuesday morning, over 31hours after starting this section. At this point
he stopped his bid for the record.

Mike Sandlin is still on the A.T. and is hoping to finish on July 19th.
