[at-l] not trail related

Does anyone know how to get rid of ticks in the yard?  Every day I pull one 
or two off the puppies, and they sprout more the next day.  Is there some 
sort of commercial spray or something, that is environmentally sound, that I 
could/should use?  I'm getting pretty tired of removing the nasty little 
buggers . . . :(
