Actually a thrid comes to mind.  A/Cs have a drip pan that routes the 
water that is condensed from the room to the outside.  On its side, the 
water will probably drip into the room.  It is amazing how much water can 
be condensed out on a muggy day.  Just look at the puddle around the cold 
bottle of beer and multiply that by the whole room(s)
