Parched corn is fairly easy to make. Essentialy you want to
dehydrate it at a fairly low temperature. Indians shuck the corn
and place it next to a fire and periodicallyturn the cob so that the
corn does not get too hot. This job is usually done by the children.
I watched an Leni Lenape woman make it at a Pow Wow. She
suggested using a white corn as yellow corn had too much sugar.
You can grind he parched corn and ad soda and water to it and fry
it (good).
