That's a really long way, about half way around the world, and the land bridge in the Bearing Strait is long gone, but I know from an ad for shoes in Backpacker Magazine there's a guy who started from Tierra del Fuego and plans to walk ALL the way around the world . . .
Plus, there's some major political problems in walking the "short" way down the silk road through Iraq, Iran, and Afganistan . . .    ;-)
