I guess I should start this report by saying that I will not be thru hiking=20
this year. =A0My daughter is getting married and I can't afford to take 6=20
months off and pay for a wedding too. =A0She is a very special kid and told=20=

she would wait for me to return if it meant I would never go. =A0She made me=

promise I would go next year. =A0She is marrying a good kid that is a "surfe=

dude," but still a good kid. =A0

=A0=A0=A0=A0I had planned a short hike just to test all my final gear choice=

this past weekend. =A0The "surfer dude" said he wanted to go with me. =A0So=20=

=A0=A0=A0=A0We arrived at Goose Creek Cabins about 1 A.M. Keith had left our=

the door. =A0We stayed in Cabin #7. =A0It brought back some good memories of=

eating breakfast in Orangebug's cabin at the Ga. Ruck. =A0Joyce Tree and her=
=20
friend Debbie picked us up at 9:00. =A0They were great. =A0I am scared to de=
ath=20
riding in the mountains and Debbie drove slow enough to not scare me. =A0A=20
64-year-old woman and her son with a large dog rode with us. =A0We stopped a=
t a=20
store in Suches and got last minute supplies and then went to USFS 42.
