This gets awful conplicated.  For instance, last Saturday I did .9 miles up
the Harpers Creek fire road (pre-1975 AT with white ghost blazes), 1.7 miles
from Harpers Creek shelter to Slant Rock, 1.7 miles from Slant Rock to
Harpers Creek shelter with about .231 miles of walking back and forth
improving the treadway in 2 rock gardens, and then .9 miles down the Harpers
Creek fire road (pre-1975 AT).  I figure 3.4 Avery monitor miles, 1.8
nostalga miles, and .231 aimless wandering miles.  But the Saturday before I
did 8.3 miles, Maupin Field shelter to Tye River.

Skippie...who doesn't count the mileage to and from the privy

hiked, we have a total of 321.9.  Email me with those dates, locations and
mileages of any AT hiking that you do in 2001.  I'm keeping a spreadsheet.
