Yes, it does bring back memories. I stayed with Roger on my 1986 thruhike.

Does the Trail still go along the ridge right behind the cottage? I hiked 
that part of the Trail in '99 and it looked different. I was looking to see 
if I could see signs of the old side trail to Roger's and the area didn't 
seem the same.
