People will suggest silk linters add between 5-9 degrees F. I think 6-7 is typical for me (maybe a
tad more sometimes). Mine certainly adds comfort too. The liner also really does help keep the
sleeping bag clean and I think that is important.

Some people prefer to wear sil long johns instead of using a silk liner. The weight is about the
same. I've not tried this myself. But, those that do this claim similar benefits though I'm not sure
if I've ever heard the temperature issue quantified it is probably pretty good too.
