[at-l] Wingfoot bashing

Belch---We aren't going to the press with any type of slander about Dan,
just a request that they use someone else to be the spokesman for the AT,
that he's not the spokesman we would like to see used. That statement
doesn't require any comment on how we feel about him as a person, just that
we think he's not our best representative. It's really pretty simple.
Actually, I had forgotten, until you used the word "press", that I was the
one who started this thread in the first place. Sorry, all. I didn't mean
to do that. But, I do still think we need to write the previously mentioned
publications and comment. Rhymin' Worm would be a good spokesman for us:
he's thru-hiked more recently, he's written a book about his hike, he's the
editor of all the ATC materials, he's up on what's going on with the ATC and
the trail, he's available most of the time for the press to contact, and
he's literate. All that works for me. Who else would be a good
spokesman/-woman? What criteria do you think that they need to have?
