[at-l] Zip Stove

Well finally broke down and bought a Zip stove which came in Friday. =
I've had a Sierra Jamacan ( little bigger than the Zip and no fan)that I =
have been useing off and on for the last 8 years or so but wasn't =
impressed with it. Anyway the new Zip stove was an excuse to get out the =
snow shoes and go give it a try. We had a good hike the warm weather mid =
to hi 30's settled the new snow some and made for good snowshoeing, =
mostly bushwacking around the AT off Rt 17 in Maine near Chain of Ponds, =
3 to 5 feet of snow in the woods in most places. The Zip Stove was =
great, lots of tea breaks, Hot Choc. and Marshmellows before bed Sat. =
Calzons for lunch Sat, Chicken and dumplins for supper with Choc. Cake =
and PB frosting for supper, Bacon eggs and biscuits for Breakfast Sunday =
( had to take the eggs to bed to keep them from freezeing solid). Only =
one problem not enough time to walk off all the food. Looks like the Zip =
stove will be a keeper, and the old Peak may end up on the Never used =
shelf with the MSR.=20
